It’s time to Enter The Bunker

Built in the 1960s at the height of the Cold War, the Debert Diefenbunker was meant to serve as regional military headquarters in the event of nuclear attack. And now the bunker is open for tours!

Decommissioned in 1996, the Debert bunker has been renovated and restored in parts to present an accurate picture of life behind the blast doors in the 1960s and 70s, alongside modern tech and entertainment offerings. Take a tour of this declassified nuclear facility and learn more about Canada’s role in the Cold War.
